Honey – Happei Ending

 
Welcome, Honey!

Honey is an 8 year old female shar pei. She lived with other dogs in the past and seems to get along with them, though she tends to guard her food and toys. In typical shar pei fashion, she can be slow to warm up to strangers, but once she relaxes she loves petting.

She’s settling into her foster home, and now that’s she’s been to the vet we know that she has several medical issues to deal with. She will need most, if not all, of her teeth pulled due to seriously bad gingivitis. She loves her wet food though, and will likely remain on it. Honey also has ear infections and possible a UTI so she isn’t feeling the best. Despite her discomfort, she’s a sweet girl and is already pretty attached to her foster mom their young daughter. She even tolerated a bath – quite a feat for most pei!
