Hi, my name is Champ and they say  I’m the best dog in the world.!!!  I’m looking for a foster home.  I’m living at the a dog kennel for now until the right person comes along to give me a chance.  I came from a very bad situation and it’s been hard for me to find a home that does not have other dogs.  I love my humans, I love kids, but I haven’t been around dogs to much so I tend to be defensive with them.  I do fine on walking past dogs but I really want someone to give me all the attention.

I enjoy kids and once had a foster home where the kids dressed me up in play clothes.    I will need a little training and encouragement to get accustomed to a house setting but  I know there is a patient person out that that  can help me with that.   All I need is a for someone to think I’m the best one on the site!   

As you see, I’m a beautiful boy.  I  came into rescue with my sister.  She passed away shortly after getting her forever home.  I’m hoping one day soon I will have the chance to experience a home like she did.  I’m friendly, healthy, and have lots going for me.   If you don’t have another dog and are looking for a perfect boy to spend your days and nights with, pick me, Champ.    Won’t you please fill out an application and consider me.

Hi Shar pei lovers!  My name is Ripley now. I was on the streets for a
while & then some nice folks got me into a foster home where I now live
with a brother & sister pei. I get along fine with them & my brother is
blind so I should be good with most dogs.  I really love to be with the
people!  I kiss everybody so they know how much I like them.  I enjoy
playing with my buddies, chew bones, all kinds of toys and curling up
for a nap.  The Dr.said I need to gain some weight & mom says I need to
learn some manners then I’ll be ready for my forever home.  If you’re

Hi everyone! My name is Peggy and I am 8-9 years old. 
Here’s what Shar Pei Savers has to say about me. Peggy has heartworms, glaucoma in one eye and very little sight in the other.  All which we were treatable.    She was pulled in an attempt to fix her up and get adopted but after much testing, we found out she was in renal failure.  We did not feel good about placing her in a forever home so she has become a Sanctuary dog here at a foster’s  home.  We are taking very good care of her and treating her to keep her comfortable.  Please help donate and be her guardian angel.  This girl has had a bad life and we were so hoping to give her a good life in a forever home!  We are all heartbroken about it.  She is getting more attention and vet care than she probably has ever had.    She is a beautiful girl and such a sweety to people but very fearful of other dogs.   She will not be up for adoption due to her condition but any help with vet bills even a small amount is appreciated.

Hi everyone, I’m Brutus! At 9 months old, I’m just a puppy! I have tons of puppy energy, too! Some super nice people found me as a stray, and say that I’m really sweet. I sure could use a foster home where I can learn how to be a good boy. Hi! I’m Duncan. I’m brand new to SPS so not a lot is known about me yet. Please check back frequently for updates! I came into a high-kill shelter as a stray. As a larger boy with a deformed leg my chances of being adopted from that shelter were very slim. Because I’m such a nice guy the local humane society worked really hard to get me to safety. Luckily, SPS was willing to take a chance on me even though I’m only “mostly” shar pei and now I’m safe in rescue. The vet says I’m just over a year old, I weigh about 69 pounds, but I’ll weigh about 75 pounds once I’m up to weight. I seem housebroken, I haven’t hiked my leg on any of my visits indoors (which the people who’ve visited me say is good!), I’ve been friendly with everyone I’ve met so far and I was a very good boy during a recent car trip and vet visit. I was already neutered when I came to the pound so I’m all vetted and ready to go! All I need now is a foster home, or even better…a forever home! I have been good with the other dogs I’ve met so far, probably too big for a home with little dogs, and I’m a bit too interested in kitties to share a home with them. I am very strong and need to learn some leash manners, but I’m smart and eager to please so that shouldn’t be hard to teach me. Oh…my leg…as you can see my left front leg is obviously deformed. The vet says it was probably an untreated fracture when I was a puppy. How sad that my first owners would allow something like that to happen to me. It is not painful and I can walk, run, and jump just fine. Please don’t let it discourage you from considering me…I think it just adds character! Hi everyone it is me Karma!  I just wanted to keep you updated on what has been going on with me.  Well I am all done with vetting, no more babies for me.  I have been just enjoying life trying to keep up with my two young foster siblings, boy do they have energy, but I do pretty well keeping up.  As much as I love it here and had no problems adjusting, I really am ready to find my forever home.  I have so many kisses and cuddles to share with a new family.   My foster mom says that I am one of the most well balanced dogs she has ever met.  I am very polite and listen to what I am told (even when I steal an occasional sock).  I think she says that because I know when to rest and when to play, not like my foster siblings who never stop.  Plus I have to admit that my picture does not really show how cute I really am.  So, if your looking for a girl who likes to play, loves to take walks, and will just lay around if you need a lazy day, then please consider adopting me. 

 Oh yeah I forgot to mention that if you have children around, my thinking is the more the better.   I have not met a person that I do not like yet!

Hi everyone, I’m Karma! I just arrived at my new foster home and I love it here! I have two canine foster siblings that I love to play with, and I even get to go to doggy day care. HELP! I need a guardian angel!

Hi everyone, it’s me Lindy, and I’m still waiting for someone to take a chance on me! I know, I’m not as young or as wrinkly as some others, but I have lots of good points of my own. I have really settled down in my foster home, and am not as timid as I once was. I even bark at strangers when they come in the house, so for one thing, I am a pretty good watchdog! I’ve been staying in my yard pretty well too, haven’t been trying to escape like I did when I first came here. My forever home will need a bit of patience while I adjust to another new place, because I really am a very nice girl. I love-love-love taking walks, and I love to go for rides in the car. My foster mom takes me for a ride whenever she is doing errands, and I am really good in the car. I like it when we go for a ride, and then she takes me for a walk around wherever we are! That’s fun with the new smells and everything. I am quite playful now, too.

I love for someone to chase me or pretend to, and I run like a greyhound. I love to run, and I give some playful barks and chase my tennis ball. I’m doing real well when left home alone, too. I don’t have a crate or kennel here, and I don’t want one. It just took some time for me to learn how to be a good girl, since I’ve been crated in the past. I just need someone who will have some patience with me, and I will be the perfect companion for them. Other than that, I am very quiet, you’d hardly know I was around. I don’t even notice the cats that are here, they don’t bother me nor I them. If someone would adopt me, then my foster mom would be able to foster another needy Shar Pei, and though she would miss me, if I went to a really nice person or family, she would be happy and stay in touch. Her last foster dog, Angel, who was blind, went to the nicest family, and I hope there is one out there for me too.
