Luke-Happei Endings

Luke

When Jerry and I lost Max our hearts were broken. He was our third shar pei, our first from SPS. All of our pei had died young and we thought we could never open our hearts to that kind of pain again. But SPS contacted us and said, “When you are ready, we have lots of pei that need foster homes.” About a month later we were on the road to pick up Luke.We were foster failures and adopted our Luke from SPS six and a half years ago. He keeps us laughing, such a clown. Luke was the perfect dog for us; he was the polar opposite of Max. Max was a regal and wise meat mouth brush coat. Luke is a crazy, endlessly playful bone mouth horse coat. He is now 8 1/2 and he shows no signs of growing up or slowing down. Last year we adopted a 1 1/2 year old pei Mugzy,a cream brush coat from the Humane Society of Huron Valley.. Luke wears him out. Thank you SPS for encouraging us to open our hearts again. Thank you for all you do. SPS has been so helpful to me with my pei and I appreciate all that you do for our special dogs. Can’t imagine our life without pei.

Thanks SPS.
