Lance's Story

Lance was adopted by Kjersten and Josh Hoyord of Milwaukee, WI (left). Kjersten had this report 36 hours after Lance was adopted: "Lance is great. He is already acting very comfortable in our home and follows us around where ever we go. We took him to a lake shore park yesterday and he met some other dogs. He was very well behaved. Lance and Josh wrestled and had a good time. Some of our friends stopped by to meet him and he played tug-o- war with them and was very friendly. It was hard to leave him this morning. Brutus' Story

Brutus (aka Ripken) was adopted by his foster family, Karen & Scott Shallcross of Columbus, OH. Karen (right) writes: "He is doing great. He is terrific in his puppy stage even in his bad moments of getting my slippers. We are in love with him. Beanie (Shar Pei sister), kitties, and Brutus are all getting along fine. I wanted to say thank you to Stacey Moore (volunteer, OH) for giving us our new member of the family and saving him."

Teddy's Story

Teddy was rescued from a high-kill shelter in MI and was fostered by Judy and Kevin Wale of Midland, MI. Teddy was adopted by the McCleary family of Battle Creek, MI.

Jo Jo's Story

Jo Jo (now Jackson) was adopted by Cindi Kauffmann of Ashland, OH, and joins Reggie, his new Shar Pei brother. Cindi writes: "Jack is doing great ... he's fitting is really well and is a great dog! I'm really glad that I decided to go ahead and adopt him!" Special thanks to the Shonk family of Beach City, Ohio for fostering Jo Jo/Jackson.

Napoleon's Story

Napoleon was adopted by Dianne Bowker of Whitewater, WI. Napoleon absolutely adores his mommy and is enjoying his long walks and home baked dog treats. Special thanks to the Wittig family of Janesville, WI for fostering Napoleon.

Nikki's Story

Nikki was adopted by the Carlson family of Phelps, WI. Nikki loves to wade in the water with her two Labby siblings, Harley (aka Hog Dog) and Lily. I guess she doesn't know Shar Pei aren't supposed to like water! Special thanks to Monica Nowac and Paula Burkholder for helping Nikki along the way.
